Who remembers this?

This is what was spoken to me yesterday as the walls around the fireplace were removed. Except it was “There’s no crying in house renovations!”

Since day 1, I have anticipated the removal of the walls around the fireplace. Who has seen the Fixer Upper episode where Chip exposes an original brick fireplace from behind the wall? ok that’s me.

The brick has been discovered. Happy dance!!!

Day after day, chipping away. It was worth the work. We got it all torn down except for the closet on the left. Old wood is like titanium. Sledgehammers even shudder.

Here is where the tears came. When the picture in your brain comes true. I mean, come on, it’s tear worthy.
