Recently I had the privilege to retire from my paying job.
It had nothing to do with not liking my job or any certain person. I still love all my co-workers and my church is just that, my church.
Not working a “paid job” allows me to be closer to home all the time in case the parents are in need of anything and Baby Jack will soon be arriving and I will be able to be available for anything the new parents might need.
The term housewife sometimes is a derogatory term, but for me, it’s the job I am most suited for. I am a helper to the core. I love to care for my family. I love to make sure our home is cared for and if I can recycle and or repurpose something in the process, I am complete.
Steve asked me yesterday if I was available to follow him to South Florida to be a chase car on the way back as he needed to pick up a fire truck. He apologized, more than once for asking me to do this.
Stop apologizing, I’m grateful that I am available and able to do this for you. He works so hard and this allows me to have the freedom to do things just like this.
