The Dignity Center

We have friends.

Yes we have friends!! They run a ministry called Wear Gloves. Read more about it here http://weargloves.org. Their mission is to partner with people to help people. Empowering distressed people to serve in their communities and right where God places them. Coming along side folks that want to help and making their service more effective and dignified. They have recently opened the “Dignity Center” that allows distressed folks to work for items that they need i.e.: gifts cards to Publix, a bicycle for their child, etc.

Steve and I recently had a need for new plumbing to be ran from the street to our new/old house. This required a ditch to be dug 18″ deep and approximately 60 feet long. Steve called the Kebrdles at Wear Gloves/The Dignity Center and asked if anyone would be available to work for the day. Ken said yes!!! The details were made.

The day arrived for the 2 men from the Dignity Center to arrive. They arrived on time, they were excellent workers and when I asked if they wanted to finish out the morning with another job, they were very eager to complete my request.

Here are a few pictures of our new friends. They were kind, respectful, they cleaned up after themselves, made friends immediately with Dad and we will be asking them back soon. Call Ken, you won’t be disappointed.
