Sometimes I still think back to our old house. It was a great house. We had recently put in a pool and Steve built a fabulous pergola and we hung lanterns, bought chairs and landscaped. It was a dream…….The dream shifted.
Two times during the year leaves would fall. Fall from the trees, fall from the roof, fall from the heavens for goodness sake. Since we, meaning me begged to not have a screen around the pool, the leaves had to be scooped out a minimum of two times a day during the leafiest of times.
Steve and I were driving the other day and he mentioned leaves falling. He laughed under his breath. I said, “What are you laughing at?” He said “Oh I was just thinking about the new owners scooping all those leaves.”
For those of you who think Steve is next to perfect, the evil is there. Just a little.
Love,
the non-leaf scooping girl
