Restoration Hardware wanna be

This “restoration hardware” inspired coffee table started as a metal based-glass topped table. I saw it as something way more special than that. The base has been painted a rich dark brown and the top is knotty pine, distressed and stained. It has an x-brace base. It’s really a pretty piece

Mammaw’s hand me down

This table and chairs has been passed down from my Mammaw (my dad’s mom) and stored here and there since she passed away. It finally made it to MEEEEEEE!!!! I knew I wanted to give it a face lift my not take away from it’s vintage charm. I tried a new technique on the table. It was super fun and really easy. Vinegar, steel wool and water. WHAT??? Yes you heard me right. The chairs…I wanted them to be painted but to look like someone pulled them out of a barn 50 years ago. I believe I achieved my wish. It makes me smile.

Black is the new Brown

I just finished up a project for a super nice family. Her table and chairs were in need of a facelift. After lots of sanding , priming, painting, sealing and waxing it turned out really pretty. I think it looks a lot like pottery barn. Here is the before (brown) and the after (black)t I hope (fingers and toes crossed) that she loves it

Vintage “Grandma’s Chair

Vintage chair passed down from grandparent to grandchild. It has great bones but needed some repairs, recovered cushions and some paint. Requested black paint and cushions. Paint has slight distressing. I hope the chair is used and enjoyed for many years to come.

Grey Grey Grey

This cute little grey mid century modern cabinet with it’s glass doors and mirrored shelves has a new home. I love it when friends love the piece as much as I do.

Mirror Mirror

just because the piece is kinda ugly doesn’t mean it has to stay that way. This originally was a tv cabinet that was plain and boring. It received new paint, mirrors on the doors and an extra shelf that now allows it to be used as an office cabinet. It will hold a printer (see the hole cut in the back for the cord :)) and additional office supplies. NOT UGLY ANYMORE!!!
